About Our Studio
Clayform Studio is a dedicated space for ceramic art and pottery craftsmanship. We have been creating functional and sculptural pieces for over twelve years, combining traditional techniques with contemporary design sensibilities. Our studio welcomes both experienced potters and newcomers who wish to explore the tactile art of working with clay. Each piece that leaves our studio reflects our commitment to quality, sustainability, and artistic integrity.
Our Services
Hand-Thrown Pottery
We specialize in hand-thrown ceramic vessels, from intimate tea bowls to substantial serving pieces. Every item is carefully crafted on the wheel and finished through multiple stages of refinement. Our work encompasses both utilitarian wares designed for daily use and sculptural pieces created for artistic expression. We work exclusively with high-fire stoneware and porcelain, ensuring durability and a refined aesthetic.
Instruction and Workshops
Clayform Studio offers ongoing instruction for students of all skill levels. Our workshops introduce fundamental techniques including centering, throwing, hand-building, and glazing. We believe that working with clay is a meditative and rewarding practice, and we guide students through each stage of the creative process. Classes are structured to accommodate both individual exploration and collaborative learning within our community of makers.
Custom Commissions
We accept commissions for functional tableware, architectural installations, and custom sculptural work. Our collaborative approach ensures that your vision is realized through our expertise in form, material, and finishing techniques. We work closely with clients to develop pieces that meet their specific needs and aesthetic preferences, resulting in truly unique creations.
Studio Events and Open Houses
Throughout the year, Clayform Studio hosts open studio events where visitors can observe our work process, view finished pieces, and learn about our practice. These gatherings create an opportunity for dialogue between makers and those who appreciate handcrafted ceramics. Our studio space is designed to showcase the connection between creative process and final form.
